it WILL happen... soon...
these are character bios for a (perhaps ill-conceived) visual novel-type project that i worked on briefly, about fuzzy animals living in a twisted communist dimension. it will probably never be finished in its intended form, but the characters still show up here-and-there

Kommissar Mader - or Mr. Kommissar, as he prefers to be called - is the Head of Military Education and a prominent national figure. Born to a poor rural family in the early days of New Weazeltania, his boldness and natural charisma propelled him to the top of the (since-renamed) Propaganda Department. He takes directives from the Monolith in developing a curriculum for the young upstarts of the military program.
Mr. Kommissar is a man of at-times-questionable taste whose favourite activities are smoking expensive cigars and wearing aviator shades indoors; beneath the boorish exterior, however, is a carefully-considered philosophy. There is nothing he despises more than indecision. He seeks to reel in the wild egoes of those who arrive at his school, so that they may think with the one mind of the nation, as he does.
These traits make him an iconic representative of the State as a whole. He is often seen in television PSAs, posters, and beautifully-rendered realist artwork, and his (largely falsified) biography is required reading for students, so you'll get to know him, whether you want to or not.

The protagonist of the story. He's five feet tall & smells of cinnamon.
As a child, Lischka's precociousness led to his being selected for Weazeltania's military Academy. Despite scoring at the top of his class for most of his education, he dropped out after failing a crucial exam and never went into service. This doesn't concern him much - in fact, he suspects he dodged a bullet.
He now works as a night cleaner at the nearby supermarket, a job which he performs with great particularity. It's not far from the Academy's base of operations, so he tends to run into old friends at unfortunate moments.

Cyril is New Weazeltania's most expert surgeon. His formerly cold nature has shifted a little after a grievous head injury he sustained involving an improperly-restrained mental patient & a circular saw; now, he takes childlike fascination in just about everything.
Ideally, this would spell an end to his career, but all of the other surgeons were recently detained in a plot against the government, and he can still hold a scalpel. It probably won't be a problem.
